She can take messages word-for-word.
She can transfer lines leave voicemails
say "how can I help you?" with confidence
that she can actually make a difference
Despite the drugs/domestic drudgery.
Thisisshawna is understanding but firm;
calm but empathetic.
Her voice has the tonal consistency of ready whip
(words at the ready to whip out pre-chosen answers)
and she knows just what to do with their
vocal
expressions
of
pain.
It's a good thing she has such flexible work hours--
(I think I might be speechless without her)
